Industrial screens in stainless steel
We manufacture screens for strainer housings, pipelines and vessels – as a spare part, as a replica or to your drawing. Material, mesh size and shape are determined by the medium and the installation location.
The range extends from the strainer element for your housing to the box screen with handles. For the commissioning of new lines, there are dedicated temporary strainers.
Product range
Which screens we manufacture
Every screen consists of a support body and the actual filter medium. Shape and size follow the installation location – the construction stays the same.

Screens for industry – from our own production
We are a manufacturer of industrial screens, not a trader. Design, cutting, welding and testing are done in-house. You therefore receive your industrial screens directly from the manufacturer, without going through an intermediary.
As a supplier of industrial screens and sieves, we work for operators of industrial plants as well as for plant engineering companies and strainer manufacturers. For them we are a subcontractor for industrial screens and strainer elements, as a single item or in series. If you are looking for a supplier of industrial screens: we supply the single replacement screen as well as recurring demand. The route to a quotation stays the same.
Key data
Strainer elements
The basket inside the housing
Strainer elements are not an accessory but the actual filter element. In the housing, the element does the straining, in stainless steel as standard. We make them for our own housings as well as for strainers from other manufacturers – to sample or to size.
- Perforated plate support basket with fine mesh screen, single or multi-layer
- Pleated elements, when more area has to fit into the same housing
- Multi-part with exchangeable round screen
- With fixture for magnetic rods
- Sealing by O-ring or clamping bracket, as required
For a replica, the dimensions of the old part are usually enough: outside diameter, height, design of the rim and the mesh size. A photo helps.
Mesh size and material
Filtration grade and material to suit the application
Mesh size – from coarse screen to fine mesh screen
The filter medium determines the filtration grade. For the coarse range we use perforated plate or screen grids, for the fine range stainless steel filter mesh. This wire mesh goes down to 0.05 mm. The same support basket can thus become a coarse screen, a stainless steel filter screen or a fine mesh screen. Where the screen has to be particularly robust, we manufacture stainless steel wedge wire screens.
The right filtration grade depends on what is to be protected. Upstream of a pump a coarser screen is often sufficient; upstream of a measuring instrument it has to be finer.
Choose the coarsest mesh size that still prevents the damage. Every finer step shortens the time until the next cleaning.
Materials
- Support body and frame in stainless steel 1.4301 or 1.4571
- Screen mesh as stainless steel wire mesh 1.4401, also as filter mesh for fine mesh screens
- Stainless steel screen grids and perforated metal screens with round or square perforation
- Special alloys to suit medium and temperature
As standard, we manufacture our industrial metal screens and sieves in stainless steel. For acids, alkalis and hot media, we match the material to your operating data.
Shapes
Industrial screens in all shapes
The shape of technical screens follows the installation location. The construction stays the same: a load-bearing body of perforated plate or a frame, and on it the actual filter medium.
Flat screens
A flat screen, round or rectangular, with or without frame. Flat screens sit in vessels, hoppers and shafts. As a screen deck, they also carry the material lying on top of them.
Round screens
A circular flat screen with support ring. It serves as the bottom of a strainer basket or as an exchangeable layer in a multi-part strainer element.
Cylindrical screens
The stainless steel screen cylinder, also called screen tube, is open or has a bottom. Cylindrical screens are the most common shape in strainer housings and in Y strainers.
Conical screens
A conical screen body offers more area than a flat screen of the same cross-section. We use stainless steel conical screens in pipelines and vessels. Between two flanges, this shape is called a witch hat strainer.
Funnel screens
A screen in the shape of a funnel, usually with a rim for hanging in. It retains solids while vessels and tanks are being filled.
Box screens
Rectangular screens with frame and handles. They can be inserted into shafts and channels and lifted out for cleaning.
Pipe screens
A screen that sits directly in the pipeline. As a dirt screen or debris screen, it protects the pumps, valves and meters downstream.
Angled screens
Installed at an angle, the screen offers more area than across the flow. This is also how the strainer element sits in the Y strainer.
Suction strainers and foot valve strainers
A screen at the end of the suction line keeps coarse matter away from the pump. On request with a check valve, so that the line stays filled.
Special shapes
To sample, size or drawing
Not every screen fits into a catalogue. We manufacture round and cylindrical screens, funnel screens, box screens with handles, suction strainers and threaded between-flange screens to your specifications. On request we also make test sieves and extruder screens.
If there is no drawing, a sample or a photo with the main dimensions is enough. We need this information for a quotation:
- Outside dimension and height
- Shape of bottom and rim
- Mesh size or perforation
- Material and medium
Industries and media
Where our industrial screens work
Our screens work in the chemical industry, in the oil and gas industry, in the rubber and tyre industry and in water and wastewater treatment. For the design, the medium is what matters most. That is why our application pages are organised by medium.
Enquiry
Enquire about industrial screens
Tell us the shape, the installation location and the main dimensions. For a replica, the dimensions of the old part and a photo are enough – feel free to upload it below. We will propose the mesh size if you tell us the medium and the component downstream. Add further screens with “+ further item”.

Frequently asked questions
What to clarify before ordering
Yes. We replicate strainer elements and screens to sample or drawing, also for strainers from other manufacturers. For this we need the outside diameter, height, the design of the rim and the mesh size.
Yes – round and cylindrical screens, funnel screens, box screens with handles, suction strainers and threaded between-flange screens are part of our product range. We design these versions to your specifications.
That depends on what is to be protected. Upstream of pumps and valves a coarser screen is usually sufficient; upstream of measuring instruments and nozzles it has to be finer. Tell us the medium and the component downstream – we will propose the filtration grade.
Yes. We manufacture single items as well as series – as a spare part, as a replica or as a new part to drawing.
Industrial screens usually work permanently, for example as an element in a strainer housing. Temporary strainers sit between the flanges during commissioning and are removed afterwards. To the temporary strainers →
